Notes/Domino database check-Download NotesDBcom (screenshot) Check if a Notes/Domino database is available or not. v1.0.0.11 - 5-OCT-2005 If you get an error indicating "ActiveX object can't be created", then goto the directory in which the file NLSXBE.DLL file is located and do a: REGSVR32 NLSXBE.DLL After that it should work fine. (always make sure that the Notes client that is installed on the system running this add-on works fine!) Anti-Virus update checker-Download AV-check Retrieves the latest anti-virus signature file version from the internet and optinoaly compares this to the version available on the system running Servers Alive. File Monitoring File Properties check (was FileSize)-Download FilePropertiescom (screenshot) Monitor the size, creation date/time and last write date/time of a (remote) file/directory (not recursive). By default we're using ENGLISH months to make the date calculations. However if your system is using a different language then English you will have to "tell" to this addon how the months are called. COMTelnet is an External COM Check add-on for Servers Alive. By logging into a Telnet server, and passing commands, an error check can be performed and a value can be returned to Servers Alive for data logging purposes. External Check Samples (errorlevel based) SMTP2POP3 - Download SMTP2POP3 We suggest to use the COM version which can be found on this same page SMTP2POP3 sends an email using SMTP to a mail server, and then attempts to collect that same email through POP3 from a server (not necessarily the same server), thus verifying more completely the functioning of the mail server. v1.0.0.20 - 14-OCT-2003 Count Files - Download Countfiles We suggest to use the COM version which can be found on this same page Let's say you have a mailserver that uses a spool directory. If the mail server is running correctly, it should deliver the mail within 5 minutes to the internet. But since sometimes the mail service runs, and still the mail server isn't running correctly, it's not enough to check the mail server service. It would be nice to be able to check the number of files in the mail server's spooldirectory and have Servers Alive warn you when more the 200 files are in that directory. By using a combination of the external check of Servers and COUNTFILES.EXE it's now possible. ODBC Check - Download ODBC Check We suggest to use the COM version which can be found on this same page Verify an ODBC connection. Just opens and closes a connection. Event ID Check - Download CheckEvt (written by Mark Bradshaw) Check for specific event IDs and conditions on NT computers. You will need a perl interpreter. WINS Check - Download WINS Check Verify if your WINS server resolves names correctly. DB2 Check - Download DB2 Check (written by Jason C. Stone) Checks if a DB2 server is running or not. Uses the DB2 client.
