Can I make it load a default file on start-up, and start running. That way we can put it in our startup group
and it will require no operator intervention at all.
Yes you can, this feature is already available in the product. Using the STARTUP tab of the SETUP you can set the startup options you want.
Can I run Servers Alive as a service under NT?

All command lines options should be set from the SETUP-STARTUP tab, and they will be loaded from the registry.
What modems do working with the paging of Servers Alive.
There is a list of tested modems. This will of course not guarantee that it will work with your configuration but at least it's an indication.
If you're using another modem, please let me know so I can update the list of tested modems
All releases after build 139 will be able to use TAPI to access your modem. This *should* solve your paging problems.
I'm having some trouble getting alphanumeric paging to work. Can you give me some pointers?
We have compiled a list of the alphanumeric paging characteristics of many popular paging systems the world over. Please examine the list and see if your paging service is listed.
I can't get the SMTP mail to work.
If you're having problems getting the SMTP mail to work, you should start by setting the logging level to the maximum (Log File tab of the SETUP). Don't forget to push apply. Then from the SMTP tab of the SETUP you can enter the needed parameters and via the envelope test button you can test the sending of SMTP mail. (don't forget to push APPLY before sending out a test mail). If the sending goes wrong, you will then be able to see the error returned by your SMTP server in the logfile.
Most of the time the problem is the FROM part of the SMTP mail. Most SMTP server only accept mails from 'known'-users, a 'known'-user is a user from the domain that is 'served' by that SMTP server. So instead of ServersAlive as FROM, try ServersAlive@yourdomain.com.
